I have remained mostly silent on the mid-term election campaigns.  The rhetoric was highly abusive, the misinformation was rampant, the personal character attacks disingenuous, and rallying humorous.  I watched, listened and remembered what I wrote here on Norm’s Corner two years ago.

Should We Change Our Name To USSA?

For as long as I can remember the big country that was our nemesis was called Russia.  But it was really the USSR, or Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.  Maybe it’s time to change our name from USA to USSA; the United Socialist Sates of America.
